It was the end of the day, and the sun was setting. The setting of the sun could have been a beautiful site to behold, but it was stuck behind a thick layer of clouds. This provided beautiful, soft light on Jackie and George, but it wasn't the look or feel I had in mind when scheduling the shoot. The shoot was wrapping up, and reluctantly I was saying my goodbyes to the couple. I had just started to turn to walk away, when the sun peaked out from behind the clouds. It was like a stroke of good luck, just a second too late. Then, to add insult to injury, it started to rain. It was a gentle rain, barely a drizzle. Each drop of rain catching a little bit of the waning sun's light and bringing it down to the earth. It was wondrous, liquid sunshine. I asked Jackie and George if they'd consider sticking around for a little while to capture just a few more images in this magical weather. I was afraid they'd be sick of shooting by now, ready to go home. Fortunately, they were excited to stick around. So we stayed at the Indianapolis Museum of Art's Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park: 100 Acres for a little while longer. My favorite photos from the shoot are of the two of them laughing, cuddling, and dancing in the liquid sunshine. It was a great way to end the shoot at the IMA, after having had a chance to photograph these two civil engineers on both the Big Jim Bridge (the bowstring pony truss bridge) and the Indianapolis Museum of Art Ravine Garden Bridge (the closed-spandrel arch bridge). It was a fantastic shoot.

Congrats, Jackie & George! You both are fantastic and I can't wait for the wedding!
